In Community Opportunities
Here are some community opportunties for you to explore.
Working in the community gives you the perfect chance to make new friends, ministry to those hurting or in need and share Christ's love.

In The Lord's Service:
The purpose of In The Lord's Service (ITLS) is "To bring Christ's love to others through personal acts of service." Since October of 2000 ITLS has organized, linked and mobilized nearly 9,800 hours of personal volunteer service, largely an outreach to needy individuals in our community.

Opportunities (Here is a sample of the services provided by our volunteers):
  • Outdoor Skills: snow shoveling, handy man repair work, minor auto repair/maintenance or moving furniture.

  • Indoor Skills: house cleaning, provide meals, handy man repair work, minor carpentry or painting.

  • Personal Care: relief for caretakers of sick or disabled, run personal errands, provide transportation, provide temporary housing or helping new mothers.

  • Skills Teaching: cooking, basic PC skills, Internet, tutoring, child care, resume writing, Christian mentoring or discipling new Christians.

  • Recovered Life Experiences: walking along side people who are going through a life crisis that you may have experienced. These are things like deaths, addictions, abuse, injury or illnesses. If God has healed you through one of these tragedies, you may be used by God to come along side someone else going through the same tragedy.
