WPCC Mission Statement
We believe that God's highest priority is to make His glory and greatness known to the whole earth so that all people might come to know Him. This is His heart toward us? His creation. It is this heart that is the foundation upon which all we believe rests and the source from which all we do flows.

We believe God has left us here on earth so that the world can see the transformation He has made in our lives through our deeds as we become an irresistible influence among those who do not know Him. God's heart toward His creation is confirmed in Jesus words in Matthew 5:16.

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they see your good works and glorify your God in heaven."

Therefore we desire to introduce people to Christ? mature them in their faith? and equip them to give their lives away as an irresistible influence. This three-fold purpose of influencing, maturing and equipping is interdependent. Once a person comes to know Christ they need to mature in their faith. But people only mature in their faith as they are equipped and given opportunities to give their lives away. And people only give their lives away in service to others as they take steps to mature in their faith.

Together, influencing, maturing and giving, we discover the LIFE we were made for. Finding life as we give it away sounds like a paradox!

Such is the genuine life, the purposeful life, the meaningful life that God wants us to experience. Jesus said, unless something dies it cannot live? the least is the greatest… the leader is the servant... and the one who loses his life is the one who finds it! Maturing in the faith, and being equipped to give our lives away, is about finding life as God intended, and giving life in a world that desperately needs to see it.

Our Values:   Four core values lie at the center of what we believe, who we are, and what we do. We believe these values are essential for genuine, from the heart, life-change. Embracing these values, we move from "lip service" religion to "life-style" faith:

  WORSHIP

We are called to respond with all that we are - individually and corporately - to all that God reveals Himself to be. (Ephesians 5:18-20; Matthew 4:10; John 4:24)

Worship begins when an individual places their faith in the person of Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2:8; John 3:16; I Corinthians 15:3-4; John 1:12) And it continues as a lifestyle of presenting ourselves to God and responding to God's revelation of Himself, intellectually and emotionally, in ways that declare His glorious worth.

  COMMUNITY

We believe God changes people and reveals Himself in the context of authentic relationships. (Ephesians 4:1-6; Hebrews 10:24-25) Community means living in caring relationships that are guided by Biblical truth and grounded in spiritual accountability. Real and lasting change - spiritual transformation - occurs in the unity and diversity of authentic community. It is flesh-on-flesh, face-to-face, and heart-to-heart that we learn to live out the truth we believe.

  SERVICE

Sacrificial service is the Biblical means of influence. (Ephesians 4:11-13; Mark 10:45; Matthew 8:39; I Peter 4:10) Jesus demonstrated the most influential life is a life of sacrificial service. The gospels record that Jesus "did not come to be served but to serve, and give His life as a ransom for many."

We will influence the world for Jesus Christ when - resting in and motivated by His love for us - we steward and invest our time, talents, and treasure in service to others. We live as we die. We receive as we give. We experience life as God intended when we give our lives away.

  GROWTH

Growth is a foundational value because no one comes to a point where he can stop growing. Spiritual growth means that over time we become more like Jesus Christ. Growth requires an honest wrestling with God and life. It is a life long process. It's not easy because maturity means change and change is hard. However growth means we are really living as the live of Christ is being produced in us. (Ephesians 4:14-16, Philippians 3:14, Colossians 1:28)
