Sunday Morning Equipping Classes
The importance of Adult Equipping Classes...

Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:11-12,

"And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ."

Paul tells us that Jesus has given to the church certain church leaders who’s job it is to equip the rest of the body in two areas; 1) so that they might be prepared to do works of service and 2) so that they would grow into maturity in Christ. At Community Church we equip others using our mission statement as a guideline.

According to the mission of our church,

"We desire to equip every person to live a godly life of irresistible influence that is: passionately committed to Jesus Christ, biblically shaped, personally pure, relationally engaged, sacrificially giving, evangelistically bold and globally involved."

We want to help you grow in each of these areas so that you will have an impact on the world around you. You decide which of these areas you need to grow and then pick a class that corresponds with that growth area.

The main way we equip others is through our Equipping Classes on Sunday mornings (all year) and a few classes on Sunday evenings (Fall and Spring). The classes on Sunday mornings meet from 10:00 until 10:55am.
